Was watching "Irreversible" the other day. It was such a unique and traumatic movie. Nice way of fliming the video for a simple storyline. The plot was nothing new but its how the movie was flim that is interesting. It is flim in a reverse-chronological order. Plus the gore, sadism and brutality, I would give it a 9/10 review.It is a movie that seduces and repulses as it explores the merciless nature of fate. Powerful movie translate powerful message to the audience. The greatest irony was portrayed by the 3 main characters showing their charm, wits and their despair and weakness. Strong comparison.
There were a few strong scene like the 8 min long raping scene, the brutal fire extingushier fighting scene which lingers in my mind even after the movie end.
I came to ponder on a question. If ever 1 day, you encounter someone that threatens your life, would you follow his/her wish or resist to it.
In the movie, the female actor (Monica Bellucci) was brutally rape and abuse. For the fear of her death, she followed the rapist instruction. Under such fear, i believe everyone would sucuumb to the circumstances. Don't you?
I have ask 宝贝 what would she do. She told me she would listen to the attacker. If the attacker was handsome, she would be more then happy to..... lame.....
Hey girls, If ever you encounter this situation, I have some good idea to help you get out. Firstly, pretend to be greatly interested and enjoying the encounter, be calm, and you offer to help him to do "stuff", when you have the chance, attack him/her (guys, it happens too), bite his "di*k" or whatever. Give a good punch to his throat (apple especially). Focus on the vital points. It will cause him to blackout.
