Finally i completed my FYP (Final Year Project)!

I am on the way to attain my degree, waiting for the final results which will only be out in about a month time. Think most probably getting only a pass or credit, saying bye bye to my distinction or high distinction.

But nonetheless, its my 4months hardwork there.

Tell you all a story...

Hi, today i shall tell you all a story that happen to my friend.

It started like this:

I have a friend, lets call him Ah Long. One day he was sleeping till about 5am in the morning, he suddenly woke up but he felt that he cant move his body. Meanwhile, he can feel someone flicking his ear. He tried to use as much strength as possible to move or "push" watever it was on him but he cant move even an inch. He was very scared but bobian cant do anything. After a while, he heard a breathing sound at the side of his face. So he move his eyeball to the left and saw an old uncle at the side of his bed. It look exactly like the uncle he went to visit yesterday at her neighbor funeral!

This time, he was real scare, he close his eye and keep repeating buddha scripture in his heard. The ghost like feel something and left him after a while. he broke into a sweat and can finally move.

After some time has pass, he went to taiwan for a holiday. While he was sleeping at night in a hotel with his friend. he suddenly felt very hot but strange enough, it was an aircon room and they set the temperature at 16 degree. He decided to wake up and pee before going back to sleep.

After he finish his business and came out of the toilet, his friend also wake up at this time but quickly when back to his bed. Ah Long though his friend was dreaming thus did not care about him and when back to sleep. They return back to Singapore after their trip and continue with their life.

After some time has pass again, Ah Long and his friend that when to taiwan with him met up for dinner. They were happily chit chatting, talking about ghost story. Ah Long told his friend about his "press by ghost" experience when he went to visit the funeral that time.

Suddenly, his friend ask him if the ghost was a malay with a mole on his right cheek.

Ah Longwas shock and ask him how come you know. His friend exclaimed that during their taiwan trip, one night he saw Ah Long coming out of the toilet and he actually wanna go and pee, but he saw beside Ah Long there is a malay uncle with mole squatting and hugging Ah Long's leg. so he was scare and though that he was dreaming and went back to sleep immediately.....

he's just not that into you

Just finish watching he's just not that into you yesterday with my dear.

It's i would guess, a not bad show having a galore of talented cast ranging from the cute Ginnifer Goodwin to the drop dead gorgeous Scarlett Johansson.

I have checked up Rotten Tomatoes and it had a rating of 42%, which means it is considered an OK show.

The show are the things that Hollywood does well -- a few good jokes, a lot of pleasant performances and two brief hours of entertainment and escape from reality. I would strongly recommend bring your girls for this show. This is one show that you have to watch with girls and not guys else i guess the feeling would be different.

Its light-hearted and would definitely brighten up your mood after the show. One funny instance is when Drew Barrymore says she would get rejected by 5 technology just because a guy did not contact her back. The 5 technology in this case was Facebook, My Space etc.

To some extend, from the show, do women really think a lot when a guy does something?

Lame Lecturer teaching Dip. in Interactive Media

Hello!

Its been so long since i last wrote anything on my blog. More then 20 days. Have been real busy lately, with my FYP, my freelance and my job.

Have landed myself on a new job lately. I am now a lecturer teaching dip in interactive media. Cool job title huh?

But just a poor lecturer, nothing to be proud of. I currently have 7 student of which 4 turn up. about 60+% turn up rate, not bad already.....

It is a relatively new course in my school and now i finally understand how slack it is to be a lecturer. This is more slack then any of my previous job. I am starting to get tired of the slack nature of it. My lesson time is only from 10am to 1pm. After that, is my lunch time and preparation time for tomorrow lesson.

As being a newbie noob lecturer, i currently only read from slides. However, dun ever think that its easy, you can get tongue tied/ dun understand how to pronounce some words etc these kind of problems.

Somemore with my young and look, i dun really think anyone would believe i am a lecturer. Where to find so young and handsome lecturer? Right?

The reason i'm staying at this job is because it helps me build up my presentation skills everyday and when teaching people, i build up my basics on media stuff. Have been reading books lately and have completed "Flash: Graphics, Animation & interactivity", "Dummies about Flash", "Animation history and aesthetic", "Problem Solving Programming 1 & 2", Dummies about Java" and a valuable amount of wikipedia articles. Cool stuff....

Alright, this is my updates for the past 2 weeks.

Happy belated Lunar 牛 Year

From My Tour - Hong Kong

I know its late, but nonetheless, i did congratulate all of you all. I did send an sms to you all. I fulfill my new year resolution by a bit. This year is my year, Year of the Ox. According to the Chinese almanac, it is a bad year for us, born in the year of the Ox. But i still believe we can “牛转乾坤”.

Have been busy with several work lately, school FYP, my upcoming design house, Design.I.am studio, my girlfriend, looking for job. Think i'm gonna land myself a lecturer job teaching Multimedia soon. I guess i will work till i complete my degree then start the searching process again. I need to get my pay increase asap. My wish is to get a 2.5k salary by 25. And its next year! I think i am quite slow already considering i have 1.5yrs of exp, done some freelancing and stuff. Need to speed up now if i wanna plan something for my future.

I am considering getting a job not design related if i want to earn more money, maybe design wun get you there but its the passion more then money issue. I wun stop designing, just that it may become my secondary profession. I still love designing alot althought my skills may not be there yet. Its the joy when others see you work and gave you a high standard/professional work for remarks.

Recently, my best buddies have been encountering lots of problem too. Jobless, Friendless, Girlfriendless, Cashless, Securityless summarise all their problem. I would say all the luck to u all. One day we go 拜拜together.

Make a difference

嗨！大家好！今天我，Jerry Wong，又要做故事达人了。希望这些故事能给你们启发与思索的空间。

今天的故事是。。。

One day, I was enjoying my weekend on the beach with my girlfriend. While strolling on the beach, with the warm wave brushing on my leg, the view was spectacular as the beach is littered with starfish. I believe they were wash ashore by the rainy season last few days and now thousands of them we sunbathing on the beach shore.

Upon strolling, we saw an old man picking up the starfish and threw them into the sea. One by one, he pick them up and threw it back to the sea. He continue doing it for 15 minutes and this got us curious. We decided to ask the old man what he was doing.

I :"嗨，先生！请问您再做什么？“

Old man:"哦，我在把这些海星丢会海里阿。不然，在这酷热的太阳下，他们一定会死。”

I：“可是，这里有成千上万的海星。你要丢到几时？这样有用吗？Will it make a difference?”

The old man bend down, pick a starfish and said：“有，对你也许没有用，可是对我手上的海星意义重大。”

After that, the old man threw the starfish back into the sea.

So, whats the moral of the story?

To some person, it may be useless. To some, it may save their live and make a big difference. You did not try, you did not know. Even if you failed, you know you have done your best and tried before. So, start to make a difference now.

不要斤斤计较

嗨！大家好！今天我，Jerry Wong，是故事达人。

今天的故事是。。。

从前有位先生，他是间糖果店的店主，开着一间很漂亮的店。

每天，都有很多小朋友到店里购买糖果。

有两位双胞胎姐妹每天都会放学后到店里卖她们的糖果。可是姐姐每天都会非常的霸道，不是拿妹妹的零用钱来买糖果，就是会偷吃妹妹的糖果或嫌妹妹选糖也选的这么慢。

姐：“还不快点！妈妈就要骂了！”。然后，便捏着妹妹的耳朵离开店里。妹妹从来却一句话也不吭。那位先生一直看在眼里可是也没多说，只是为妹妹担心。

有一天，只有妹妹一个人来到店里买糖。

那位先生觉得很奇怪，便问道：“hi, 小妹妹，你的姐姐这么今天没来啊？“

妹：“我姐姐今天生病，所以没来。”

先生想了很久，终于把心中以久的问题说了出来：“小妹妹，我想知道，你不会讨厌你的姐姐吗？每次他都这样的对你不客气？“

小妹妹笑着说：“不会阿，反正又不会少块肉，只是被她骂罢了。"

这个故事告诉我们什么？

作人不要斤斤计较。有时也要左耳近，右耳出这样人生才会过的快乐。

2009 New Year Resolution

Good Day to all,

Happy New Year!

New Year has always been a time for looking back to the past, and more importantly, forward to the coming year. It's a time to reflect on the changes we want (or need) to make and resolve to follow through on those changes.

With such, below is my 10 resolution for 2009:

1. Get a job
Really hope to land myself in the a job. Going for interview on Monday. Wish me luck! need to prepare a 10min presentation.... Hope my dear dear get her job too! Its the number 1 important thing i have to fulfill.

2. Be more hardworking
I really meant to be more hardworking, to tell you all the truth, i am really damn lazy to send back all the new year/ christmas well-wishes and wish my friends back. I promise to do it for CNY.

3. Tame the buldge
I'm not plump, but i can feel my small swimming float around my waist ever since i left the army. its time to start. No way am i gonna be a fat uncle. Like those fat uncle ex-colleagues of mine. No way!

4. Stay away from Christi*n
I just left the god forsaken place, i am not gonna get stuck in any place like that again. No more morning prayer, no more ridiculous comments, and finally no more dreaded long meeting. To my ex-colleagues, you know what's good or bad. Just do it!

5. Get out of debt
Owning a bit of my fee here and there. Not a big amount but need to be clear. I hate to own ppl money, even my own families or close friends.

6. Help Others
Just hope to be more helpful towards anyone and minus away all my bad habits. No more sarcastic mouth of mine. I try to keep away.

7. Gain new knowledge
As the saying goes, "knowledge is the greatest wealth". Would like to learn to dance, maybe salsa.

8. Get Organized
Just hope to be more tidy be it at work or at home. Please help me on this baobei.

9. Try something new
When is the last time you did something for the first time in your life? I just visited hong kong and macau. First time sit on a budget plane. I wanna try more new stuff. Life is fun becos of these new things. I first time quit my full time job too!

10. Complete my University
This is the most important part in my current life. I have to complete it. For my future, for you and for me.

I shall see at the end of this year, how many have i tried and failed, have completed gloriously and some just stay the way its is at now. Good luck to all my friends and wish u a happy year ahead. 1 Life, Live it!
